Donate in honor of Val to support families of children with Down syndrome

When my husband and I were expecting our third daughter, we went in for what we thought would be routine bloodwork.

A few days later, we received a call that changed everything.

The screening indicated a high probability that our baby girl had Down syndrome. Like many parents receiving this news for the first time, we were suddenly faced with questions, uncertainty, and emotions we had never experienced before. After additional testing, we eventually received a confirmed diagnosis at 15 weeks.

In those early moments, what families need most is connection, education, and reassurance that they are not alone. The Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network (DSDN) exists to provide exactly that. They connect parents to real families who have walked this journey before, offering guidance, support, and a community that brings hope during what can feel like an overwhelming moment.

Our daughter Valerie, our sweet Val, is our third beautiful daughter, and she has already brought so much love, perspective, and purpose into our lives. She is surrounded by two big sisters who adore her and a family that celebrates her exactly as she is.

We are raising funds in Val’s honor so that when another family receives that life-changing diagnosis, they will have immediate access to the resources, support, and community they deserve.
