When I received Richard’s Down syndrome diagnosis, I didn’t just have questions—I had fear, uncertainty, and a deep sense of overwhelm. Like so many parents, I wanted to be strong, but I also felt lost. I didn’t yet know what the future would look like, what resources to trust, or where to turn for support.
That’s why the Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network matters so deeply to me. DSDN exists to support families at one of the most vulnerable moments of their lives—the moment of diagnosis. Through evidence-based information, connection to other parents, and compassionate support, DSDN helps replace fear with understanding and isolation with community.
I’m fundraising because every family deserves to feel supported, informed, and hopeful from day one. Your donation helps ensure that when a family hears the words “Down syndrome,” they also hear, you are not alone.

DSDN is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit operated by two paid staff members and over 150 volunteers and funded by generous donations from supporters like you.
