Because No Mom Should Walk Alone

Since becoming Julian’s mom, my world has changed in ways I never could have anticipated. Along with the love, joy, and sweetness he brings every day, our journey has also included hard conversations, steep learning curves, and moments where I felt overwhelmed and unsure of what came next.

One of the most meaningful sources of support for me has been the Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network. DSDN provides connection, education, and community to parents during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. It is a place where moms are understood without having to explain, where questions are welcomed, and where no one has to walk this path alone.

The Rockin’ Mom Retreat is designed to bring mothers of children with Down syndrome together from across the country to connect, recharge, and support one another. It is a weekend focused on moms. Time to reflect, learn, and build relationships with women who truly get it. This kind of support matters more than I can put into words.

I am choosing to fundraise for DSDN not only to help offset the cost of attending the retreat, but because I deeply believe in their mission. This organization has already given so much to families like mine, and I want to give back while also investing in my own growth and well-being as a mom.
