When we found out there was a possibility that our Princess might have Down Syndrome, we weren't scared, we didn't mourn what life was going to be like. We were excited for our future, and to get to know our baby girl, and how she was going to change our family. We were excited for her twin brother and to watch them grow up together. We were excited to see the impact they would have on their big brother, and big sister. BUT, and that is a big but, there were still so many unknowns. What kind of health issues were we going to face? What obstacles were we going to have to overcome? The DSDN and the network of families that we had surrounding who were either going through the same things, or have gone through the same things, helped to bring peace. Helped to point us towards the right resources to help Nora and our family. Helped in the excitement that we had for our future! But that takes time, money, and resources. And because of so many of the blessing we have received, it is near and dear to my heart that we are able to help give back, and raise not just money, but awareness too. DSDN is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit operated by two paid staff members and over 150 volunteers and funded by generous donations from supporters like you.
