When Erick was born, our world changed in ways we never expected. Those first days were full of love, but also uncertainty. We didn’t know where to turn or who could truly understand what we were feeling. It wasn’t until after Erick arrived that we found the Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network (DSDN), and that connection became a lifeline.
DSDN gave us community when we needed it most — a place where other parents got it, where we could ask questions, feel supported, and see the joy and hope in this new path. It helped us find our footing as a family and reminded us that we weren’t navigating this alone.
Because of what DSDN has given us, we’re committed to helping ensure other families find that same support — especially the ones who are feeling the way we once did.
🌟 If you’re able, please consider donating. Every contribution, big or small, helps DSDN continue offering vital support to families like ours.
DSDN is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit run by two staff members and more than 150 volunteers, fueled by the generosity of people who care.
YOUR DONATION ENABLES DSDN TO:
💙 Support and connect thousands of families through the secure DSDN App — completely free for users
💙 Fuel the Rockin’ Family Fund
💙 Provide parent retreats where moms and dads can connect, rest, and recharge
💙 Educate medical providers across the U.S. on improving the diagnosis experience
💙 Equip OB/GYN residents with the tools to deliver unexpected news with compassion
💙 Send print materials free of charge to hospitals, providers, and families
💙 Reach thousands of newly diagnosed families every year
💙 Connect families to local Down syndrome organizations
If you’ve ever wondered how to make a meaningful impact for new parents receiving a Down syndrome diagnosis, this is one of the most powerful ways to do it.
Thank you for supporting a community that has meant so much to our family — and especially to Erick’s story. 💛💙
