DSDN was a critical part of our family's journey when we first discovered we were going to have a child with Down syndrome. Through DSDN we were able to connect with other parents at a critical time in our lives, which helped us to feel less isolated, and gave us a resource that we still depend on to this day. The retreats gave us the ability to further tighten those connections with other parents with children with Down syndrome, learn more about how to support Benny, and gave us tools for medical advocacy so that other families would have the support they need when getting a new diagnosis
