The first few days after Kaylynn was born and diagnosed with Down syndrome, I felt alone, scared and lost. I didn't know what to expect. Who could I talk to? I didn't know anyone with Down syndrome, I don't think I even knew anyone who knew anyone. A post I made on a bulletin board brought me DSDN and it was a LIFE SAVER. I now had peers going through the same experiences and feelings. I had somewhere to turn without fear of judgment or questions. My family and friends have been amazing, but it was so wonderful to connect with other moms who just got it. Two years later, I have built some wonderful friendships and it has been amazing to watch all of our children grow and succeed together.

In many ways, there has never been a better time to have a child with Down syndrome, and yet we still hear of families not being given information or access to support when receiving a diagnosis. Help DSDN bridge this gap by donating today.

Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network is a non-profit organization that is 100% volunteer base. We are an online-based network that has made it our mission to support new and expectant parents of children with Down syndrome by providing information, connections and support. We currently support almost 3500 families that have a child with Down syndrome, with an emphasis on diagnosis and early childhood.

1. Helping educate doctors about how to properly deliver a Down syndrome diagnosis
2. Welcome gifts for new families
3. Scholarships for our annual Rockin' Retreat and other Ds related conference or educational classes
4. Sending care packages to families going through hospital stays or other tough times
5. Memorial gifts for families who have sadly lost a child with Down syndrome
6. Supporting the annual Rockin' Mom Retreat that allows moms of children with Down syndrome around the country to connect, recharge, and inspire.
