Make a difference for families receiving a Down syndrome diagnosis

The Down Syndrome Diagnosis Network (DSDN) is the largest national organization dedicated to supporting new and expectant parents receiving a Down syndrome diagnosis. Our mission is to connect, support, and provide accurate information to parents and the medical professionals who serve them—from the time of diagnosis through age 3—while fostering lifelong connections.

Our Vision: We strive for a world where every Down syndrome diagnosis will be delivered in an unbiased, factual, and supportive way every time, and that families can quickly find meaningful connections.

Our Reach: DSDN currently serves over 24,000 families annually, supporting approximately 23% of all new diagnoses each year. Our efforts primarily focus on the critical period from diagnosis to early childhood. We are a recommended resource by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Your donation enables DSDN to:

  • Support and Connect Families Online: Creating communities where families can find understanding and encouragement.
  • Fuel our Rockin' Family Fund: Providing pregnancy gifts, welcome gifts, memorials, care gift cards, scholarships, and support for local organizations.
  • Host Annual Rockin' Mom™ and Dad Retreats: Offering parents opportunities to connect, be inspired, and recharge.
  • Educate Medical Providers: Engaging with medical professionals across the U.S. to improve the diagnosis conversation and deliver unexpected news in an unbiased and supportive way.
  • Distribute Free Print Materials: Supplying local organizations, medical providers, and families with essential resources at no cost.
  • Reach Thousands of New Families: Ensuring that every new family joining the Down syndrome community has access to the support they need.
  • Connect Families to Local Organizations: Bridging the gap between national support and local resources.
