When Chris and I received Zoe's diagnosis of Down syndrome in December of 2016, I was one of the lucky ones. No doctor ever told me they were sorry. No one ever mentioned termination. We were able to reach out to our amazing local Down syndrome organization and other families to receive support and love.
Not everyone is that lucky. Many parents have stories where they had to tell doctors repeatedly that they wanted to keep their valued children. There wasn't a local DS group that could tell them how amazing their lives were going to be.
That's where Down syndrome Diagnosis Network comes in! A small foundation will help me go a long way to meeting my goal for the Down syndrome Diagnosis Network.
